A greenhouse terrarium

After quite some experience in building and constructing terrariums, a tropical greenhouse was designed and constructed, despite negative advises because of perceived problems of climate control. The greenhouse actually is part of a conservatory that was constructed as an extension to the house. The conservatory measures 8 by 5 meters, the greenhouse is half of this plot, so 4 by 5 meters. The climate is controlled by means of aircon’s/heat pumps to cool or heat, whatever is necessary, using programmable devices. Additionally, floor heating was applied as well as a sprinkling system, a pond etcetera. Lots of plants, Ficus, Bromeliads etcetera were used to create a tropical bush at home. Various lizards and tree frogs inhabited the greenhouse, like Basiliscus, Anolis, Physignathus, Litoria, Agalychnis, Phyllomedusa. Basiliscus and Anolis were very productive.
